    Research Interests

    Wittig has published on Old French, Medieval Latin, Old English, and Middle English literature. He is a contributor to Sources of Anglo-Saxon Literary Culture and a member of the editorial board of the Society for Early English and Norse Electronic Texts. His most recent publications include an interpretative study of William Langland's Piers Plowman and a fully lemmatized analysis of the language in the three versions of that work as presented in the Athlone editions.
